Wordless Wednesday: He Speaks!

Big K, my 15 year old teen, was recently selected to speak at Columbia. I couldn’t have been prouder and YES I cried with joy as I watched my young man at the podium!

He looks a little nervous doesn’t he? But his voice didn’t quiver!

I made him smile for this picture 😉

While the panelists spoke, attendees enjoyed an amazing dinner with cake for dessert. My little one, Prince the 8 year old, loved the cake!

Afterwards, we were able to mingle. My other “son”, my little brother, also attended the event with us. Here he posed with Prince.

Below is a picture of Big K with Peggy. She organizes the events and coordinates the activities. She is great with kids and adults. My son adores her and so do I!

And last a few of the students who attended the summer “Youth About Business” program with Big K. It always amazes me how grown-up they look, while also delighting me to see this determined group of teenagers striving towards their future!
