Living in an urban oasis, surrounded by public transportation, with the theater district, the fashion district and a bit of the countryside (Central Park) near me means that I can find almost anything within 30 minutes. Yet, that almost is so very, very important to note. That almost means something is missing. And, the only way that I can find my almost is when I hop into a car.

Exhilaration behind the wheel.

The right car brings freedom. Freedom to go anywhere, at anytime, with anyone. It means seeing old friends and making new ones along the way. It means enjoying the world, while hiking with my dogs, fishing and camping with my sons or heading to seashore.

The right car brings freedom to unwind, to see new sights, and create memories that will last a lifetime.

With all that exhilaration in store, I would need a car that has ample passenger and cargo space. Who wants to go on an adventure alone? Shoot, I don’t even like going grocery shopping alone! Plus, adventures shared are always the best in my opinion. They can, and should, be rehashed over and over again.

Adventure and Reliability.

I want a car that can multitask as much as I can. From family outings to errand running, the car I desire has to be able to accommodate a large group, have an ample storage area, and provide a comfortable ride. (I definitely don’t want to feel every bump in the road!)

Recently at the New York Auto Show I had the privilege of getting a sneak peak at the redesigned 2015 Kia Sedona. It had tons of features, as noted below, that would provide just that.

    1. Front, rear and third row head airbags
    2. Dual front side-mounted airbags
    3. Passenger airbag occupant sensing deactivation

    1. Hydraulic, Power-assisted vacuum with Anti-Lock Brakes (ABS)
    2. ESC (Electronic Stability Control), BAS (Brake Assist System)
    3. HAC (Hill-start Assist Control), CBC (Cornering Brake Control)
    4. ROM (Roll Over Mitigation)

    1. Front engine, front-wheel drive
    2. Six speed automatic transmission that drives the front wheels
    3. 3.3-liter V6 engine

    1. Emergency braking assist
    2. Lane departure warning system
    3. Rear door child safety locks
    4. Child seat anchors
    5. Driver and passenger head restraint whiplash protection system
    6. Front fog/driving lights
    7. Forward collision alert
    8. Cruise control
    9. Blind-spot detection (So important with small children and pets!)
    10. Rear cross-traffic alert
    11. 360-degree camera view

    1. Tire pressure monitoring

Additional Perks:

    1. Synthetic leather upholstery or Napa leather for the  SXL trim level
    2. Heated seats (Love!)
    3. Uvo voice command entertainment system
    4. Rear-facing second-row seating option
    5. Second row seats with footrests that slide back and forth
    6. Bluetooth

Impressive, isn’t it? I know I was wowed!

New York International Auto Show Reception

My first glimpse of the 2015 Kia Sedona was at the SIR Stage 37 during Kia’s New York International Auto Show Reception. The reception featured a fun, adventurous atmosphere much like the redesigned Kia Sedona. Attendees were wowed by burlesque carnival themed performances. Below you’ll find one of the performances. To view more, head on over to my Instagram page.

To view images of the vehicle, and a few fun shots of the event, click below to enlarge. Don’t you just love the set-up?!

The 2015 Kia Sedona will be available in the Fall of 2014. To learn more about it’s features head on over to

Let’s talk! What’s your Sedona? What features do you look for in a car? Does any one feature stand out in particular?

When I was approached to work with MoonWalk in America on this sponsored post, I could not say no. My Aunt died of breast cancer. We couldn’t do anything to save her. Providing Food and Hope Post-Sandy #MealsPerHour

While working with Toyota and Food Bank For New York City, as a sponsored Meals Per Hour Ambassador, I was given a bird’s eye view of Sandy’s destruction and its aftermath. It was as if we were viewing homes made of straw and they could not withstand the Big Bad Wolf. But, this was no […]
