Do you recall coloring as a child? I do! I remember sitting at the kitchen table, humming the latest song playing on the radio, as I took my time choosing the color that would make the picture sparkle. I spent hours coloring page after page. It was one of my favorite past-times.
Now that I’m older, things haven’t changed. Coloring draws me in because it unleashes my creativity. I don’t have to worry if I’m doing it the right way because there is no right or wrong way to color. The only requirement is that I have fun.
Add to that the benefits coloring offers adults, like sparking creativity, alleviating stress, reducing anxiety and helping a person focus, and I have no doubt that I’ll continue to do it till I can’t hold my color pencils!
It’s also an inexpensive hobby that you can do anywhere – work, home, or even while traveling. It’s no wonder coloring is all the rage!
Whether you use crayons, coloring pencils or gel pens, the below coloring books are two of my fave and will be sure to get you hyped about coloring! Plus, they make great gifts – think Christmas and Three Kings’ Day.
