I have something to admit. I’m a secret upcycler. (Is that even a word? Spell check says it isn’t.) I love taking castaways and recycling them into something useful. Perfect example: toilet paper rolls. We all know what to do with toilet paper (I hope!), but what about the rolls? Do you toss them? I hope not. In my mind, that’s wasted money. That’s why I partnered with Charmin; to show you how a little creativity can turn ho hum toilet paper rolls into organizers to use about the house.
Check out the video I created with Charmin below to see the fabulousness that I was able to create with my toilet paper rolls. I’m sure you’ll find an idea or two that will help you upcycle and become more organized.
Let’s talk! Do you upcycle? If so, have you ever used toilet paper rolls? Let us know in a comment!

Una excelente idea para tus lectoras. Nunca se me hubiera ocurrido hacer util un rollo de papel, siempre terminan en el cesto de la basura. Gracias por compartirlo!
That’s a awesome idea Ms. Latina! I never would have thought of doing that its a great way to keep things organized without having to spend money. I always lose my hair ties I start out with a pack of 20 and end up with none! Thanks for the tip!
OMG this idea is GENIUS!!! I always think to myself, What can I do with these? I think about sending them to my son’s school for their art projects but I forget, maybe I can make organizers with my son, he likes to make art!
Love love love!!! Great tips!
Genius! You ARE Latinalicious. I’m thrilled to have a storage for all the flippin hairbands a house of 5 girls could own! Nice.
YOU’RE SO LATINLICIOUS! What a great video!
First of all, is that your home? Can I come live with you? 😉
I love, love, love the pantyhose roll. That is brilliant!
Can I be honest? I originally watched it because I wanted to “meet’ you outside of your Fbk profile lol However, I really really love the video. I like the ways you have upcycled the toilet rolls, especially the pen caddy. It’s not only clever, but cute! Great job, and thank you Charmin, for taking care of our butts. LITERALLY ;p
Such awesome energy on that clip. The stocking roll is definitely a good idea! I started hanging stockigns in the closet on hangers because I have too many for a drawer. Time to finally put those old paper rolls to good use!
Great ideas!! I never thought of using toilet paper rolls for anything. I am going to make the pen holders first. I have actually been thinking I needed buy one.
Hahaha, toilet paper rolls and paper towel rolls usually become telescopes in my house! I guess that’s upcycling…?
My daughter’s always reusing paper towel roll cartons and toilet paper cartons. She loves giving them new purpose!

We try to upcycle. My favorite thing to do with old toilet paper rolls is to cover them in tissue paper and make them into crackers for the kids or the holidays – I fill them with candy or little trinkets and then close up the ends.
