Buick and the General Motors Foundation are offering scholarships to current undergraduate students and high school seniors and graduates. The scholarship application opened yesterday, January 9, 2012, and closes at 11:59 p.m. CT, February 29, 2012.

The Buick Achievers Scholarship will provide 100 students with up to $25,000 a year. Said scholarship is renewable for up to four years and one additional year for five-year engineering programs. One time scholarship awards of $2,000 will also be given to an additional 1,000 students.

According to GM GM Foundation Chairman Bob Ferguson, “Special consideration is given to students who are military personnel, veterans or their dependents, as well as women and other minority groups.”

The scholarship can be used at any four-year accredited college or university in the United States (excluding proprietary and online schools). Students applying for the scholarship must show interests in majors covered by the program which include science, technology, engineering, mathematics, design, marketing and business administration. Additional information can be obtained on the Buick Achievers Scholarship Program website.

To apply to the scholarship click HERE. Again, applications will only be accepted through February 29, 2012 so avansa/hurry! Scholarships will be awarded in Spring 2012 for the 2012-2013 academic year.
