I received this information from Ofelia this past weekend and just had to share. In the past, I have written about Soles4Souls, a non-profit organization that collect shoes for people in need all over the world. The organization is near and dear to my heart. While growing up in the countryside in Puerto Rico, I walked barefoot. I had to. I needed to conserve my shoes for school and work. I have come a long way from that teenage girl but I will never forget the need. For that reason, I plan to drop off several gently used shoes at the Soles4Shoes Grand Central Terminal event. They may just be the pair that inspire a young girl to reach for her dreams.
