As a teenager, I bit my nails. I couldn’t use nail polish. I had no nails. Thankfully, I outgrew the habit and I’ve discovered the colorful world of nail polish!
I see nail polish as racy lingerie for nails. Except way better because I can show it off to everyone I meet!
I can re-invent my nails and add a touch of sparkle and glamour whenever I want. Whether I’m wearing a suit, a flirty dress or my everyday jeans, I know I can embellish my nails with shades that will make me shine and sparkle.
The 5 shades that I have been enjoying this summer are from the Pure Ice Stars & Stripes collection.
- Siren- Crème primary red
- Dazzle Me- Clear base with silver glitter and mirror hex
- Freedom- Red microglitter, red and blue hexes, silver stars
- Superstar- White crème
- Wide Awake- Clear base with bright blue ultrafine and micro glitter

I remember my grandmother painting my nails when I was in Kindergarten. She sold Avon and has many fun colors.
can’t remember for sure – somewhere around middleschool/early highschool
My grandmother also sold Avon so I can remember her painting them at a very young age.
I was probably around 14.
I first remember wearing my nails painted in 1st grade, it was something special my mom did when we moved to a new city and I was going to a new school

I can’t remember, I’ve always loved my nails. And having an open bite, I couldn’t bite them and have always had them long. I do remember having a birthday party where my then teenage cousin painted our nails. We were a group of ecstatic grade 4s!
I think I was probably 7 or maybe younger. my mom gave me that peel-off barbie or tinkerbell polish!
I Would Say I Was Around 9 When I First Painted My Nails
I must have done when I was little, but I don’t remember being very interested in nail polish until adulthood.
My mom would always do them better than me, and then I finally started attempting to do my own when I was probably about 10.
I didn’t really get into doing my nails until my mom passed away last year. I needed a distraction and came across a nail art tutorial and I was hooked. It helped me deal with my grief.
ever since i can remember!
prob around 10- I am 35 now!
I was in elementary school when I got to get my first manicure. I remember choosing a really pretty purple color.

Not really sure but I know in high school I became and avid toenail polish wearer.
I honestly can’t remember but I only started doing it on a (more than) regular basis 3 years ago and I’m 40!!
I was about 8 years old.
I was probably 4 or 5 when I started painting my nails! I would do it myself with that peel-off kids’ nail polish.

i was probably 5 or so, I’ve always been pretty girly

35 🙁 I was a serious nail-biter until last September. I finally got tired of the icky look and the pain and stopped biting. They were very short (pretty much just cuticles left) so it took about a two months before I was able to paint the little nubbins.
My mother was a SUPER STRICT Boriqua so it had to be when I was in junior high school. Painting your nails meant that you were grown…and anything before that was definitely a “NO-NO”…it could have been later–lol
The nail polish is beautiful!!! 😉
