My Date with Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Alvin and the Chipmunks. All opinions are 100% mine.

As a Mom to a teen and a tween, I sometimes feel pulled in various directions. The seven year age difference between my boys means that they are at different physical and emotional levels, making it hard to please them both everytime. I have discovered a solution that works most of the time. I started date nights with my sons!  They each take turns being my date, while the other goes out with family or friends. During these dates, we do whatever the teen or tween enjoys. It helps us bond, keeps the communication open between us, and gives each of them my undivided attention for a few hours.

This month my youngest wants to do an in-home movie experience. He didn’t have a chance to see Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel last year when it came out in theaters so I plan on surprising him with the Double DVD Pack that includes “The Squeak Along” Bonus Disc, with more music, mayhem and all-new singalongs! It costs the same as the regular DVD, yet contains twice the fun as the regular DVD, Blu-ray and Digital Download.  I’ll also buy some popcorn and share priceless cuddles on the sofa.

I’m getting  excited just thinking about it, since I enjoyed watching Alvin and the Chipmunks myself when I was growing up. Who can resist those squeaky voices? They are so annoying, they’re actually adorable! Or is that just me? 😉

In any event, I plan on rounding off our “date” by going online to the More Munk Mayhem site with him to play a few games. The site looks lke loads of fun for kids and is sure to help me create memories with my little Prince.

You can buy it now as well by clicking on the link. Its available in DVD, Blu-ray or Digital Download.

Enjoy and happy “date” night!

    Dear Ms. Latina,

I love that idea! Date Night may be my next thing with my little one… Who can resist priceless cuddles on the sofa? Thanks for the info, I will be sure to check out the More Munk Mayhem site! 🙂

I wish I would of thought of this idea for my grown daughter & her dad years ago, having only the daughter I saw as she got in her teens and hit puberty that up to that point she was actually closer to her dad and wanted to do more things with him but when the teen years came then her & I were closer in doing things together and there relation ship though they love eachother so much got left behind in the fact that they did things together without mom there, I know your boys will have lasting memories and most likely pass that idea onto there kids to that you gave them

I have separate outings with each of my girls as well. It’s a perfect time to bond with each of them.
