This past September I had the opportunity to see Lionsgate’s Warrior, starring Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton, with the kids and Noah a friend of the family.
Below is her review.

So many emotions ran through me as I sat and watched the movie. I was sad and even cried when the brothers were faced with what seemed like insurmountable obstacles. I was proud when the brothers triumphed- in and out of the ring; and I was scared and even screamed as if I was the one in the ring!
At times, the fighting scenes in the movie were intense, so much more brutal than what you would expect in a movie about professional sports. Yet I applaud the director Gavin O’Connor for having the courage to show the audience what truly happens in the arena, It made it genuine, and although frightening, it allowed me to feel for the characters.
Warrior was very good, better than many other movies I have seen this year, however, I walked away feeling cheated. I felt like a best friend had moved to the other side of the country without even saying goodbye. I even leaned over for reassurance and asked my friend Karl if that really was it.
It seems improbable that there will be a sequel (what conflict would there be? Another two brothers battling it out? Ha!) but so many of my questions were left unanswered. [I can just imagine “The Warrior Returns” (ha!)].
Warrior is not just an action flick or a tear jerker, it is a culmination of the two. It draws you in with no mercy. I can’t say it enough, this movie is a must see. I promise you will walk away wanting to learn MMA!

Wow, nice review! You make me want to go out and watch this movie. Sounds like it really touched your emotions (the sign of a good movie, always).
Perfect!!
Finally something that I can do with my teen son. There seems to be less and less nowadays.
We are going to see this next weekend. Glad I read about it here.
Wendy T recently posted..Damn. Just damn.
Lionsgate usually puts out great movies. This one seems to be filled with lessons. Thanks.
This is the first review of this movie I have read, and you did a fantastic job! It doesn’t look like my type of movie, but I will show this to my sister in law- she has teen boys!
