Youth Small Business Summer Camp, a FREE camp for teenagers in the NYC area, sponsored by Mentoring in Medicine, Inc. – a 501c3 non-profit, has 35 NYC openings at the Harlem location, as well as openings for others to attend online. The two week camp session is titled: “The Young Adult’s Guide to Starting and Growing Their Own Business”. As implied by the name it will inspire teenagers to start and grow their very own businesses!
It will focus on the following topics:
Make money this summer
Identify ideas that can make money
Incorporate your business and open a bank account
Build an advisory board
Manage your time
Use the Internet to attract clients
Track your finances
Gain contracts and network with established business owners

The lead instructor, Andrew Morrison, is the President of Small Business Camp. He’s appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show and has trained thousands of entrepreneurs from Hawaii to West Africa.

Again, seating is limited at the Harlem location to 35 students only. However, with an internet connected computer, young adults can attend from home by joining their “live” video broadcast.
If interested, adults can also become Off-Site Coordinators, by organizing a group of young people to attend the Camp online.
