Next week New York readers will have the opportunity to watch an inspiring and family friendly pre-screening of The Mighty Macs.
The movie, starring Carla Gugino, David Boreanaz (Love him in Bones!), Marley Shelton, and Ellen Burstyn, is rated G and is perfect for the whole family! The Mighty Macs will open nationwide on October 21 but New York Latina On a Mission readers will have the opportunity to see it before anyone else!
SYNOPSIS
The Mighty Macsis based on the true story of the 1971-72 Immaculata College team that started in obscurity but became the original Cinderella story in women’s basketball. This team of trailblazers went from barely making that inaugural tournament to the first dynasty in their game. And Cathy Rush, the woman that was ahead of her time, became immortalized when she was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2008.
