As most of my readers already know, I love to find any excuse to NOT cook. Yet I love eating and trying out new dishes! This would be a bad combination if I hadn’t found a way to eat on the cheap … I use Restaurant.com gift certificates!
Restaurant.com allows you to buy a $25 gift certificate at a discounted rate to select restaurants. The site allows you to search for different restaurants in your hometown, as well as restaurants near your hotel if you are traveling. I think this is a great way to save, especially when traveling, because as you all know eating out while on vacation can really add up and do damage to your budget!
I also try to buy the gift certificates when they go on sale and stock pile them (they expire one year after purchase).
