The Buick Achievers Scholarship will provide 100 students with up to $25,000 a year. Said scholarship is renewable for up to four years and one additional year for five-year engineering programs. One time scholarship awards of $2,000 will also be given to an additional 1,000 students.
According to GM GM Foundation Chairman Bob Ferguson, “Special consideration is given to students who are military personnel, veterans or their dependents, as well as women and other minority groups.”
The scholarship can be used at any four-year accredited college or university in the United States (excluding proprietary and online schools). Students applying for the scholarship must show interests in majors covered by the program which include science, technology, engineering, mathematics, design, marketing and business administration.
