#GettingGorgeous with @CVSBeauty

by Jeanette Luis

Jeanette at Getting Gorgeous | Latina on a Mission Today was the day. I was heading to Getting Gorgeous and I was excited! I was going to get the chance to sample some great products and meet other bloggers. I was stoked!

My day started out fabulously. I had the luxury of taking my time to get ready as my husband and son were warned well in advance that Saturday, April 27th, would be mine.

Held at the beautiful Metropolitan Pavilion in Manhattan, the Getting Gorgeous event was a blast. The vibe was friendly and the Sponsors were terrific.  With so much to show, the time passed quickly… too quickly. I found so many things that I could relate to. They showcased tons of items for my children, my husband, and me. I found items that applied to almost every aspect of my life.

I met other amazing bloggers and made new friends. We laughed and had conversations about things we all loved; it was so relaxing and the overall mood of the event was just so happy. Along with meeting an extraordinary group of women, I especially loved seeing Thread and Butter, a plus size clothing company, at an event that was NOT just for plus sized customers.

Tide and Downy at Getting Gorgeous Event

CVS Beauty had a fun interactive Prize wheel, as well as a space to get your hair and nails done. Although I did not have my hair and nails done by CVS Beauty, the women that seemed to be enjoying every minute of it. Afterwards, attendees were able to get their photos taken at the New Balance, Dial or Tide Photo Booths. It was a great way to capture the fun attendees were having!

Given that I was already a fan of most of the sponsors, attending this event just made me that much more fond of them. It also introduced me to some new companies that I hope to continue to have a relationship with. All in all, I had a great time. The ladies and sponsors behind Getting Gorgeous did a terrific job!

Disclosure: No compensation was given for said post. Products Samples were sampled at the event and given to attendees. However, this in no way influenced the author’s opinion.
