A recent positive review by Marilyn Hagerty, an 85 year old food writer from North Dakota, has caused a stir and gone viral!

Olive Garden serves fresh Italian food that would make you salivate. The ambiance in the Olive Garden near me is comfy, cozy, and very family friendly. Perfect for couples, families with children, a girl’s night out and teens out with friends!  I also love that their prices are reasonable because I won’t have to worry about breaking the bank when I want a night off from cooking!

Although the gift certificates are cheaper, I prefer gift cards because I think they look so much nicer when placed in a card or gift basket. Dine Out For A Fraction Of The Cost!

I love to eat out. In fact, my boys and I do it a few times a week. This would definitely play havoc on my budget if I had to pay full price, but I DON’T!

I use restaurant.com gift certificates to save. These gift certificates can be purchased at a fraction of the normal cost, especially if you catch them on sale.

I found a great deal that I wanted to share with you. I plan on stocking up myself since I use these as gifts for my business associates, my kids’ teachers, the doormen and the mailmen. I also tend to stockpile them for me and the kids, buying several to last the year.

Dining Out on the CHEAP!

As most of my readers already know, I love to find any excuse to NOT cook. Yet I love eating and trying out new dishes! This would be a bad combination if I hadn’t found a way to eat on the cheap … I use Restaurant.com gift certificates!

Restaurant.com allows you to buy a $25 gift certificate at a discounted rate to select restaurants. The site allows you to search for different restaurants in your hometown, as well as restaurants near your hotel if you are traveling. I think this is a great way to save, especially when traveling, because as you all know eating out while on vacation can really add up and do damage to your budget!

I also try to buy the gift certificates when they go on sale and stock pile them (they expire one year after purchase). If I do it this way, I don’t derail my budget if I decide to go out at the last minute, which I tend to do. I’m happy to say they are having a promotion that is running until July 20, 2009.
