The Love Affair: 2 Toy Australian Shepherds + PetBox

This is the story of my 2 Toy Australian Shepherds, Shadow and Teddy, and their PetBox love affair.

Meet Shadow. He’s my dapper blue merle (black/white) Toy Australian Shepherd.

The Love Affair

Recently, Shadow and Teddy were greeted by a blue box, a PetBox. They were curious and excited. They knew the box contained treasures. I’m sure they wondered what it could be! They circled and circled till I told them go, then they dug into the PetBox and ignored all else.

Teddy grabbed the toy and ran off with glee. While Shadow, my dapper one, poked at the treats. He sniffed and he sniffed, then looked at me. “Go ahead.” I said and he brought them to me. Upon hearing me command sit, Teddy ran back to us. He knew that command would come with a treat.

I opened the “Jump for Joint Health” soft chews for dogs. I gave each one a chew and was surprised to see Teddy eat! He’s my finicky Aussie, who rarely eats. He gobbled it down and looked for more. But, per the package, they receive 1 chew per day, to help with mobilty, comfort and resilience for dogs of any age! I never would have thought to buy them on my own, but thanks to PetBox, now I’ll buy more!

Included in the box were a few more things that Shadow and Teddy enjoyed:

  • BOGO Bowl Premium Dog Food (Salmon Meal & Rice- It’s BOGO (Buy One Get One). One for your dog and another for a local dog in need. It’s good stuff, that gives good stuff!
  • Organic Oscar Shampoo with Organic Aloe Vera
  • Organic Oscar Conditioner with Organic Aloe Vera
  • Vetericyn Wound & Skin Care

Since my dogs play in concrete dog parks, the Vetericyn Wound & Skin Care is a must have. They play hard, which means that they can sometimes injure their paws. In the past I have taken them to the Vet because their paws were scraped raw and they would aggravate their skin by licking it over and over again. This was extremely expensive (I really need to get pet insurance!). Anyway, the Vetericyn Wound & Skin Care was perfect! I was able to spray it on their paws to clean the wound and avoid an infection. Even better, it is safe if licked or ingested. Perfect for my 2 toy Aussies!

Shadow and Teddy were enamored. And, so was I.

The best part, to me at least, is that when I order a PetBox, I am also giving back to the animal community. How, you ask? Well for each order that goes out the doors, PetBox sends out shipments of dog and cat food to animal rescue organizations across the United States to feed hungry rescue animals. How beautiful is that?!

Who knows your pet better than you?

No one. That’s why PetBox gives owners options. When you sign up for PetBox, you complete a pet profile that helps you shop for products tailored to the needs of your dog (or cat).  You can  pick up to 6 items to put in your furbabies’ PetBox. You can pick and create a mix of treats, toys, and other pet accessories from carefully vetted brands, like Bistro Bites, JW Pet, Aussie Naturals, Honest Kitchen, Stella & Chewy’s (LOVE!), and many more.

My furbabies have a new love affair with PetBox. I’m sure your dog, or cat,  will dig it as well! (Get it? Because Teddy is digging in the PetBox. Oh, I crack myself up!)

Let’s chat! How often do you buy your dog, or cat, treats, toys, or pet accessories?
