Madison Square Garden is hosting a Sports & Entertainment Career Fair on Thursday, July 30, 2009. The fair is an opportunity to meet professionals within the following fields: sales, marketing, advertising, ticket office, public relations, finance and more!
There will be two sessions to meet with representatives from top Sports and Entertainment companies. Session A is from 1:00-3:00pm and Session B is from 3:00-5:00pm. I’ve noted below a few of companies that will be onhand.

In order to attend the seminar, you must register beforehand. There is a registration fee to attend the seminar. If you register in advance, before 7/23/09, the fee is $25. If you register after 7/23/09 the fee is $35. The last day to register is 7/29/09. As an added bonus, registration includes a ticket to the New York Liberty vs. Washington Mystics game at 7:30pm.
If you plan to attend, prepare, prepare, prepare. Research the objectives of the company or companies that you are interested in. Update your resume adding select keywords from the companies profile. Bring several copies of your resume to the fair. Obtain and bring copies of recommendation letters. Prepare a short introductary pitch. Practice test questions and answers. Dress professionally. Walk with confidence and most importantly smile!
