Latina On a Mission and Stiletto Media are working with a casting company to find real people to cast in a PAID documentary style project for American Student Assistance, a nonprofit that helps kids discover their education and career opportunities. They’re looking for entrepreneurs and kids of ALL ethnicities, backgrounds, and genders who are based in New York City, New Jersey, Long Island or Westchester.
They’re looking for ethnically diverse people who do all kinds of work that a tween or teenager might think is pretty cool.
If you’re a DJ, designer, jewelry maker, cartoonists, social media influencers, small business owner, inventor, someone doing cool things in tech, an interesting app, video game developers, videographers, makeup artists, hair stylists or anything where your life’s passion has helped pave a career for you, we want you to apply!
NO ACTING EXPERIENCE NECESSARY. In fact, non-actors are preferred, and encouraged, to apply!
Applicants must fall into one of the three below categories:
- 18-35 year-olds PROFESSIONALS with an entrepreneurial spirit (Open to all professions & interests).
- 21-35 year olds who have jobs that are off the beaten path job (appeals to kids).
(Open to all professions, especially those where professionals work with their hands). - 12 to 16 year olds who are curious about how they may fit into the professional world.
If cast, this is a PAID opportunity! A quick self-tape submission is required and due asap! (by 7/18/18).
Tentative shoot dates: 7/28 – 7/30 and 8/7 – 8/9.
Shoot location: NY/Tri-State area (possibly your office/home!)
Pay Rate: Pay rate for shoot day & Usage: $500 for up to a 10-hr day. If a second day of shooting is needed, talent will be compensated $250 for the 2nd day (4 hrs). If shoot goes into overtime on the 2nd day, overtime pay would be addressed.
Usage/Term: Client will have the right to any and all materials captured on shoot day(s) for use in any and all media, in perpetuity, including any and all lifts/edits/versions/stills pulled from materials. Broadcast TV use is excluded.
