With the school year gearing up, and more time on my hands, I cook more often. It feels more enjoyable when the kids are not belting out demands for their favorite meals and I get the chance to get creative. Recently, I received a gift basket with samples spices and was wowed by the variety. One of my favorites was the McCormick Grill Mates Slow & Low Tennessee Smokehouse BBQ Rub. I applied it to chicken, let it sit overnight, and grilled it to perfection. Easy peasy and amazingly good!

I haven’t tried the grill rubs or spices yet, downfall to apartment living… But I’ve loved all my McCormick spices! Especially some of the specialty blends — the 5 spice and Sichuan ones remind me of when I lived in China. And the Cajun one is amazing on salmon!

McCormick makes quality products and my husband likes to use ‘shake on’ spices so I’d like to win so he could cook a few dinners.
