Holiday Gift Guide: Grubbie, the HOT new look!

I first discovered Grubbie Style in the blogosphere. I loved the look of the shirts because of their uniqueness. Now that I’ve been given a chance to review one, I have to add durability as well!

As a mother of a 9 year old, I know how boys can destroy clothes.  My son can get down and dirty, breaking in his clothing (literally!) fairly quickly. For that reason, my main criteria is durability. My son’s, on the other hand, is stylishness. With Grubbie Style, we hit the jackpot! Its anything but grubby. It has a clean design that suits my son’s style. I, on the other hand,  like the American Apparel merchandise used to create the shirt.

Why?

Because American Apparel merchandise  is  manufactured in a “sweatshop-free” environment. They are also U.S.-made and according to the American Apparel site, support  immigrants’ rights! As someone who used to work in a Legal Firm that monitored sweat shop conditions and volunteered my services at a Immigration Legal Clinic, I applaud them for doing the right thing.

I commend Amy Hall, the Founder, for being so progressive! Not only did she pick a merchandiser that cares about the people it hires, she also understands the needs of Moms with sons, since she is a Mom of 2 active boys herself.   Amy takes into account a boy’s need to express their individuality, by allowing them to create a one of kind shirt,  created to YOUR specifications.

What does that mean? It means that, you get to:

  1. Select the design
  2. Choose the style of the shirt
  3. Order and have it delivered to your mailbox

How HOT is that?!

So hot, my baby sizzles in his shirt!

Disclosure: For review purposes, I received a Grubbie shirt for my son. This in no way influenced my review. I stand by my son’s HOTNESS!

Very nice shirt and your model is one cute kid 🙂 I like the fact that they can have a hand in choosing what they want on their shirt and also the style.

What a handsome man. I love this as well. What a refreshing find in a world where people are more concerned with profit than the condition of their fellow man. A company with a conscience and a great product? You definitely found a gem in Grubbie. Thanks for sharing.

Having raised 9 sons & “borrowed” 2 others for a year, I think this is a great idea. Boys have definite ideas of what they want to wear too!

This is new to me but any clothes that can withstand tough kids is ok in my book.
