Cereal on Sale at CVS and Additional Coupon

If your kids are anything like mine then they can go through a box of cereal in one day! OK maybe they aren’t like mine but wait till they get older!

I like to always have a few boxes of cereal in my pantry. I’ll be honest I normally have ten or more of their favorites at any given time. I know that sounds like a lot of cereal but its the healthiest snack or quickest breakfast when we are rushing. I can throw some in a zip-lock bag when we are heading out to the park or going for a ride in the car. This avoids any last minute fast food jaunts that can add up and ruin my budget.

I’ve been known to add it to yogurt for myself …YUM! I also use it to make those sweet marshmallow treats that kids seem to adore. Very delicious and low calorie. Of course the marshmallow treats are great when we go to the park or for a stroll on the pier too.

I found various coupons for cereal on the link below. I printed out a few of the $1 off coupons for the Kellogg’s cereals, as those are my boys favorites. They had several other brands including Apple Jacks. You can pick which coupons you prefer by clicking on the “see all coupons” link below and then print out a few of the ones you prefer before going to the store. These are especially great budget savers when you add them onto a store deal in your area.

The CVS in my neighborhood actually has a sale going on thru May 9. You can check your own CVS by clicking HERE I noted the CVS cereal info for my area below.

Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes, Smart Start, Frosted Mini-Wheats, Special K cereal 12-18 oz, Kellogg’s cereals

3 for $10 with $5 extra bucks back — it’s like $1.67 per box
If you add on 3 $1 coupons it comes out to 67¢ per box!!!
Milk is also on sale for $3.19! Maximum 2 gallons.

I suggest you do two separate purchases. Purchase the cereal first, then use the $5 extra bucks to purchase 2 gallons of milk right after. If you do it in this manner you will pay $8.39 for 2 gallons of Milk and 3 boxes of cereal for a purchase that would normally cost you almost $17. In my area, two gallons of Milk cost $10, while cereal is about $5 a box! So I am constantly on the look-out for these coupons and sales.

Hope this helped you save some cha-ching!
