Event: Diabetes + Social Impact at the @BronxMuseum

Join Latina On a Mission at the Bronx Museum on November 15, 2014 during Diabetes Awareness Month. The event, presented by Novel Research of New York, will celebrate health advocates, entrepreneurs and honor a special guest.

Free Event: Social Health + Social Impact at the @BronxMuseum

The event, FREE to attend, will include discussions on diabetes and the Latino community, healthy cooking demos and interviews with health advocates and social media advocates. You will walk away with skills to improve your health and the health of your family and community.

You’ll have an opportunity to hear from pro-basketball player, Gary Forbes, on why diabetes education is important in the Latino community, discover why the power of social media is key to accessing information and helping to improve diabetes care and self-care in my session, and participate in cooking demos.
