WordPress Update, Plugin, and New Pillow Covers

by Migdalia Rivera

Last week I finally updated my WordPress site to 3.0.1. I also activated a new cache plugin called WP Super Cache. I implemented the changes hoping to speed up my site’s load time, however instead of speeding up my site it caused me countless headaches.

After the update/new plugin, my emails/RSS feed was no longer updating. My posts were not displaying on the front page and when I created test posts I could not delete them.

Thankfully, my designer, Revka  (who is a gem!) took the time out of her busy schedule to look over my blog and correct the glitches. After review, she discovered it was the cache that was causing havoc and immediately deactivated the plugin.

So how do the new pillow covers come in? Well with all that free time, I was able to clean house AND sew two new pillow covers! I decided the original pattern on my sofa pillows didn’t suit me and created new forest green velvet pillow covers. I think they match perfectly with the new wall hanging I recently purchased.

Btw, I no longer have a sewing machine so I did it by hand. It took longer but with so much free time on my hands I probably could have done a dozen!

Are you a crafty chica?
