Wordless Wednesday: Press!
by Ms. Latina ~ January 13th, 2010. Filed under: Wordless Wednesday. My boys and I recently found a new health food restaurant that even they enjoyed! Its called Press.
They make freshly Pressed bread at the location. They have four choices: whole wheat, rosemary, sun dried tomato and white.

After you make your selection, they press the bread right in front of you!

You are than given a HUGE amount of selections to choose from …

to create a sandwich to your liking (sorry the lighting messed up this photo).

As you can tell the boys loved their selections!

Based on those reactions, we’ll definitely go there again!
What about you? Have you found any new restaurants? Please share!

Those do look delicious. I was actually happy to read the description – much as I enjoy pastries, unsweetened or savory breads sound even better.

Yum! I love the taste of fresh bread!!!!! That place looks great…and it’s healthy!!!
I have not discovered anything new lately, but I will be sure to post when I do!!

Is it all-vegetarian, or are their meat options, too? Either way, the place looks really cool! And tasty, I bet! Nice find!
Happy WW!

It took me a minute to figure out what you meant by press, but it’s like we make poori or tortillas. I have a similar machine at home which presses and heats so that they are partially cooked and then fry or bake. I don’t use it much though because it doesn’t press easily like the one pictured here. What a great idea for freshily made food!

That place looks yummy! I think I need to go out and get a sandwich now, lol!

That looks delicious. We are in search of new places to eat now that we know two of our faves use peanut oil in their chicken nuggets (the only thing The Dudes will faithfully eat) and #3′s peanut allergy has been outed.

That looks so yummy! What’s great is, they make it right in front of you and the kids get to pick their own sandwich stuffing selections. Kids seem to be more open to trying new foods when they have some type of contribution or control. Sounds like a great place! Too bad I live in Georgia. lol
Kristi, Hello…Is This On?

@ Sabrina: I’m actually going to try to make some next weekend, with wheat flour! If it works out I will bring you some
@ Rachel: It was and we went right after we saw The Spy Next Door. They loved it, even added veggies to there sandwiches!
@ mizhelle,@ Susie’s Homemade, @ Carver,@ Karie,@ Secret Mom Thoughts,@ Robin from Israel, @Kimberly@PrettyPinkMomma: It was!!!
@ Kristi: You are so right! They normally don’t eat chesse,c arrots or onions but added that and more to their sandwiches. I was so happy, going to see if I can do it at home now!
@ Andrea: Have to admit your Eggos sound good right about now LOL
@ Melanie @ Whimsical Creations: You may have something similar, they seem to be cropping up all over the place!
@ Sukhmandir Kaur: I’ve never seen a machine that could press and cook at once, loved the simplicity, as well as the quickness!
@ Carolyn G, @ CatSynth: It was delish and has inspired me to bake bread at home. I used to do it but stopped. Going to start again, will add 3/4 wheat and 1/4 reg flour to try to ease the boys into healthier eating!

They have something like that at the Asian stores, but we don’t get to choose what we want inside the bread.
January 13th, 2010 at 8:49 pm
Okay no new restaurants here but ooooo I wish we had that one near by…. I make bread at home when I can but otherwise I prefer to get the whole grain ones at a local shop.
January 13th, 2010 at 9:54 pm
